This immaculately shot short film justaposes beautiful landscapes in Hawai'i with the gritty underbelly of the drug trade on the islands. Trapped in an abusive relationship with her distant cousin Lin and pregnant by him, Xiao Xue, a young Chinese woman, spends her days in fear and misery. However, a chance encounter with a young, local girl who is neglected by her father provides Xiao Xue with the courage to remove herself from under Lin's dominion in a surprising way.
