NBC's HEROES James Kyson Lee stars in this quirky comedy from first time directors Ron Oda and Kris Chin that has been an underdog hit on the film festival circuit. When his fiancÈ leaves him with a $10,000 wedding debt and no bride in sight, Jim, the cheapest Chinese American guy in L.A., can only think of one thing to do.ÝÝHe asks his friend, the ex-convict and Japanese hit-man Alex to kill him.ÝÝMoreover, Jim demands that it must be done before Valentine's Day and that Alex must not back out even if Jim tells him differently.
Cajoled into agreement,ÝAlex agrees to fulfill Jim's death wish in a more secluded place than L.A., so up to a cabin in the mountains they go.ÝÝYet despite the dark setup, what follows is a hilarious, unpredictable comedy diced with drama where nobody is what they seem — including the pizza delivery guy.ÝÝBetween picking out his funeral spot, wondering about how he'll be killed, and finding new love, Jim begins to question his decision, but who knows what Alex has in mind...
