Often assumed to exist only in third worlds, sweatshops are an everyday reality in first world mega cities such as Los Angeles. Sweatshop labor disproportionately affects women of color, and holds dire consequences for children, families, and entire communities. This timely and inspiring documentary addresses the everyday resistance and political battles fought on the frontlines of urban LA by its very inhabitants, and highlights the importance of multiracial coalition and cooperation in the ongoing fight for equality and justice.

Produced by Visual Communications with the support of labor organizations such as the Korean Immigrant Worker Advocates, Garment Worker Center, Pilipino Worker Center, and the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance.
